I'm not real excited about the Cashner pick either, but the guys I was targeting there -- Jason Castro, Jemile Weeks, and Ike Davis -- were taken. My other option would have been Zach Collier, who I think would be a fantastic pick at #23 but who doesn't fit the profile of a typical Padres first-round draftee. This is going to be a weird draft. After about the first four or five picks, it's a complete crapshoot. Thanks for the linkage.
