With Quentin out possibly the entire month of April, and Alonso's backup likely playing a lot of left field (shudder), Yonder might get to see lefty Kershaw twice, one or both of the Phillies' lefties of note, and the Giants' Bumgarner. I wish McLeod was still here. The last two drafts were terrific, even with the failure to sign Whitson. Unfortunately, the Padres will be picking amongst the best of the 2nd tier. It seems like the Padres could use the injury year to stash him back in Fort Wayne or even Eugene, since it's likely one or both of Kelly/Wieland could be at Petco before September, and a slew of pitchers will be moving up. It's almost like college picks aren't allowed to have a setback or injury.
