Best VPN for Etsy Seller – Access Etsy from Blocked Countries

Etsy, Inc. is an American e-commerce company focused on handmade or vintage items and craft supplies. These items fall under a wide range of categories, including jewelry, bags, clothing, home décor and furniture, toys, art, as well as craft supplies and tools. Items described as vintage must be at least 20 years old. The site follows in the tradition of open craft fairs, giving sellers personal storefronts where they list their goods for a fee of US$0.20 per item.

As the e-commerce industry continues to grow, more and more people are turning to the convenience of shopping online and having their goods delivered straight to their doorstep. It is a great way to save time, and you get to order products from virtually anywhere around the world. Despite the emerging success of online shopping, there are still a number of issues that continue to bottleneck its growth. Ask a frequent shopper who gets his products from etsy.com and he will tell you about the lack of confidence in the transfer of money when paying for his products. Another who uses etsy.com might talk of how the prices are different depending on which country you’re buying from. Such issues can cause customers a lot of frustration, and they might even end up losing them money in the process.

Best VPN for Etsy

ExpressVPN

When it comes to VPN, ExpressVPN is the expert. They have VPN locations all over the world and are one of the few VPN services that actually still allow you to change your Netflix region to the USA.

Additionally, you can run five simultaneous VPN connections. ExpressVPN follows a ‘No-logs policy’ and offers stellar 24/7 support for all its users. They are one of the few VPN providers in the market that offer a 30-day day money-back guarantee. If you’re not satisfied, you can get a full refund of the money you had paid at the beginning.

For sellers in India

Sellers in India can use India Payments (powered by our third party payments partner) to offer UPI & Net Banking as payment methods to India buyers and PayPal to buyers outside of India. Learn how to enroll.

For sellers located in Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, and Poland

Etsy will send EUR to your bank account on file. Your bank may charge foreign exchange fees to deposit these funds to your account.

When you sign up for Etsy Payments, you will accept PayPal through Etsy Payments and will not receive funds to your own PayPal account. Learn more.

For sellers located in Turkey

As PayPal does not operate in Turkey, PayPal is not available to Etsy Payments sellers located in Turkey. This means that sellers located in Turkey cannot accept PayPal in their shops. If you offer PayPal in your shop, PayPal will be removed from your Etsy account after you sign up for Etsy Payments.

For sellers located in Israel

PayPal is not available to Etsy sellers located in Israel and enrolled in Etsy Payments.

If you offer PayPal in your shop and are located in Israel, PayPal will be removed after you sign up for Etsy Payments. However, Etsy Payments gives your buyers more ways to pay, including credit cards, Etsy Gift Cards, and more. If you have any questions, please contact Etsy Support.

Why Can’t I Open a Shop in My Country?

In most locations where Etsy Payments is not currently available, new shops are temporarily unable to onboard to Etsy. Most sellers opening new shops on Etsy are required to onboard with Etsy Payments

Sellers in India, however, can open a shop and enroll in India Payments, powered by our third party payments partner, to offer UPI and Net Banking as payment methods to buyers in India, as well as PayPal to buyers outside India.

If you opened your shop before April 26, 2021, without enrolling in Etsy Payments, your shop is not affected. You can continue accepting payments into your own PayPal account.

Why do I have to wait for Etsy Payments to be available to open a shop?

As millions of new buyers discover Etsy, we want to maintain a safe marketplace for both buyers and sellers.

When a buyer purchases from a shop that doesn’t accept Etsy Payments, Etsy can’t help facilitate the payment process or support in the resolution of order issues. There are also certain shopping features that aren’t available for a buyer unless the shop accepts Etsy Payments, such as Etsy gift cards.

In the meantime, we’re working on building more checks for the non-Etsy Payments onboarding process in order to address potential issues for both buyers and sellers and help keep the Etsy marketplace safe.

If Etsy Payments isn’t available in your country

At this time, sellers in certain locations where Etsy Payments isn’t available won’t be able to sign up to sell on Etsy.

If you don’t see your country in the dropdown menu during the shop opening process, then selling on Etsy isn’t available in your country at this time.

We’re working on expanding the availability of Etsy Payments so we can offer the benefits Etsy Payments provides to sellers in more countries. See where Etsy Payments is currently available.

We’ll announce when Etsy Payments is expanded to more countries.

Can I still open my shop that’s in draft mode without Etsy Payments?

If you created a draft shop before April 26, 2021, but didn’t publish it before then, you most likely won’t be able to open it unless Etsy Payments is available in your area.

You may have previously selected your own PayPal account as how you’ll get paid in your draft shop, but that option is temporarily unavailable to most sellers.

Can I reopen an old shop without Etsy Payments?

If you have a closed shop that previously was not enrolled in Etsy Payments, you most likely will not be able to reopen it unless you can accept Etsy Payments.
